Beauty Items to Love
By gchicnotes
I love a trip to my cosmetics department since it’s a chance to try something new and my look fresh. As I lover off all things fashion and beauty, it was inevitable that I fill my basket. Here is a list of some items that I have recently tried out and how they rate in quality and affordability.
For Face- *New Product* Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Pearls Blush MSRP $10-$11
As I browsed the aisle in the makeup department, I stopped at the Physicians Formula section as my eye caught the bright metallic pink and silver packaging. I have known about the brand for years but never tried one of their products. I chose the natural pearl hue for my cheeks eager to try it out.
The packaging on this product is very appealing and once opened, I found the blush container to be attractive as well. I loved the fact that it opened up and contained a hidden compartment with a mirror and blush for on-the-go application. The color of the blush itself, blends very easily and is very concentrated so that you don’t have to smother a lot on your blush brush (I use EcoTools Brand brushes, they are the best!). A nice and subtle rosy cheek was the end result. Unscented, hypoallergenic, this brand is great for sensitive skin at an affordable price.
For Lips-*New Product* Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter MSRP $8
Although I’m primarily a lip gloss lover, I like to purchase lipsticks from time to time for added color. Again, packaging caught my eye, as well at the hues available. The color I decided to purchase was crème brulee. It is a nude lip color and it’s great if I’m going to go a little heavier or darker in color with my eye makeup. This lipstick has a nice soft texture when applied and the color is true to the how it looks in the container. Great product Revlon!
For Eyes- Avon Moisture Effect Eye Makeup Remover Lotion MSRP $4
I absolutely love this product! It is unscented, non-greasy and gently wipes away my eye makeup. In addition, to using if for my eye makeup, I also use it when shaping my brows with a razor for its moisturizing factors.
For Nails- Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base and Top Coat MSRP$5
When the young lady in the cosmetics department told me about this product and how great it was, I was a little skeptical. I mean, I have tried quite a few top coats and none of them have ever “wowed” me. However, I needed one so I tried it per her recommendation. To my surprise, it really stands up to what she stated. This product allows my polish to last longer than average while giving my nails the hardness it needs. So added to my brilliant nail polish brand (Essie), this product sits high on my pedestal for nail wear.
There you have it! Great items at a great price! Happy Shopping!
Maintainance Tip
To keep make-up brushes clean without losing shape and texture:
